The
goal of SoCFiR is to review films on both entertainment value and on
the social message.
A few
ground rules :
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
Each movie is reviewed
for Entertainment
Value and given a score out of ten.
The movie is then
given a second review based on the films awareness of social and /or
environmental issues.
The social context
of each film will be taken into account. For example. Many radical films seem
tame when taken out of their original context.
No hate-mail. I won't be the one reading
it. The administrator of Thought-full will be. If you don't agree with my
review of a film, you are welcome to submit your own
counter review.
(editor's
note : There
will be no guarantee that counter views will be published.)
Each film will be
identified by "Title", "Year of release" and "Studio". This is simply to prevent
confusion between similar films.
I will try not to
discriminate between differing kinds of film. "Popcorn" flicks and
documentaries are just as much a part of modern culture as Independent
films or Oscar baiting Drama.
